Calcium Chloride and the Fast-Dry Court
Throughout the past few years there has been quite a bit of experimentation and usage of the chemical calcium chloride to aid in both bonding and the control of moisture for the fast-dry court.  About a year ago we began to monitor several different outdoor clubs, their habits, uses, and results with calcium chloride.

How to Use Calcium Chloride
Keeping in mind the moderation mentioned above, we have found that it generally pays to use a smaller amount of calcium chloride and use it more often that to put a larger amount down and expect it to last for a longer period of time.

Additional Uses for Calcuim Chloride
Several clubs have had success in using calcium chloride while patching and repairing their fast-dry courts.  Calcium Chloride does have a sticky texture as well as moisture-attracting capabilities.  Both the moisture and the texture can be used to your advantage during the process of patching and plugging worn areas of your fast-dry court.
